    SBI PO Syllabus: All that you need to Know

    Neither the SBI Preliminary Exam nor the SBI Main Exam is given in person. The Prelims Exam serves as a screening examination to choose applicants for the Mains exam. Every Test must be passed to proceed. In detail, let’s take a closer look at the SBI PO Exam Pattern and Syllabus.

    Having access to the updated syllabus of PO SBI for significant courses will enable candidates to better comprehend the topics covered in the Test. There are three components to the SBI PO Prelims curriculum: Quantitative Aptitude (QA), English Language, and Reasoning Ability. Contrary to this, SBI PO Mains syllabus is divided into four sections: English, Economic Awareness, Reasoning, and Data Analysis & Interpretation.

    SBI PO candidates are chosen using a three-tiered system.

    ●     Examination Procedural

    ●     Principal Exam

    ●     Cognitive Test

    ●     A decision is made.

    Overview of the SBI PO Exam Pattern and Syllabus

    Preliminary and main exams for the SBI PO have nearly identical syllabuses. Only two new sections—General and Banking Awareness—have been added to the Mains Section, representing a minor modification. The SBI PO Mains Paper is a tad harder than the Prelims in terms of difficulty.

    SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern

    Three components will make up the SBI PO Prelims Exam:

    ●     Reasoning

    ●     numerical aptitude

    ●     language of English

    ●     Preliminary Examination will last one hour.

    The highlights of the SBI PO Prelims Exam are as follows:

    ●     Three components will be present.

    ●     Based on the overall score received in the preliminary exam, a merit list broken down by category will be compiled.

    ●     No sectional cut-off will exist. There will be a cap on everything, though.

    ●     0.25 marks will be deducted from the final score for each erroneous response.

    Exam Format for SBI PO To Mains

    To be eligible for the Mains Exam, candidates must have achieved the requisite Cut Off in the SBI Prelims. The IBPS PO Exam’s syllabus and the one for Mains are similar. The weighting of general economic/banking awareness has increased, and the Mains Section test will now last three hours.

    Thirty minutes are allotted for the Descriptive Test, which awards a maximum of 50 points. By having applicants write letters and essays, this exam is used to evaluate their writing abilities.

    Highlights of the SBI PO Mains Exam include the following:

    ●     There won’t be any subjective questions at all.

    ●     There are four parts on this 200-mark Mains paper, totalling four sections.

    ●     It will take three hours to complete the Mains Exam.

    ●     There will be different timing for each portion of the objective Test.

    ●     No areas will be taken out. Only the overall cut-off will be used.

    ●     A mark penalty of 0.25 will be applied for each wrong multiple-choice question.

    ●     Each student must try the 50-mark Descriptive Paper.

    Final Selection for SBI PO

    When determining the final result for the Exam, the following elements are taken into account:

    ●     The Preliminary Exam marks won’t be used in the selection process.

    ●     Candidates must meet the requirements for both Phases independently to be eligible.

    ●     The candidates’ scores in the SBI PO Mains Exam, which total 250 points, are converted to a score out of 75, and their scores in the group exercises and interview, which count 50 points, are transformed to a score out of 25. As a result, the new overall score (Mains + GD/PI) is 100.

    ●     A total score of 100 determines the final merit list for each category. Candidate merit rankings are used to decide the final candidates.
